This is the number two square from "99 Granny Squares".

Years ago, not sure how many, my mom gave me a book on granny squares. Every now and again, I dig it out and make some squares. I really like some of these and have decided to show them off. The book is "99 Granny Squares to Crochet", put out by Leisure Arts. No author is shown. The square to the left is number one. It doesn't quite fit on my scanner, but I think you get the point.

Here's another baby hat. The brim is 18 inches, making it just about right for a one year old. The baby yarn is an acrylic/nylon blend.

This baby hat, made with light pink, acrylic and nylon blend baby yarn, is 14 inches around the brim. This would make it appropriate for a 3 or 4 month old infant. The design is a modification of a pattern I found online. I can't follow directions; I want to do my own thing. :)

For my first post, I have a crocheted hat. It is made with red yarn and black thread. It's always interesting to work with two threads. I couldn't find a pattern for what I had pictured in my head, so I made one up. I made this hat for my friend, Amanda. Here's a pic of her wearing it.
